Andrey Sakharov

Managing Partner
Chairman of the Investment Committee

Andrey Sakharov has been working in the Russian and international financial market since 1997. Before the Prime Mark group was founded, Andrey was chairman of the board at Darstell Invest, managing private capital for Russian and foreign clients. Andrey has held executive positions at many investment and banking entities throughout his career. Prior to 2004, Andrey was in charge of trading for Menatep SPB (now NB TRUST), managing an investment portfolio of USD 900 million. Before that, Andrey traded bonds for countries with emerging markets, implemented derivative strategies, and managed a multi-currency bond portfolio on the order of USD 200 million. Andrey started his professional career in 1997 at the bond trading department for emerging markets at the Societe Generale bank in France. Andrey holds 3 higher education degrees. He graduated from MGIMO’s Department of International Economic Relations, he posses a bachelor’s degree from SIU, London in investment banking, and also holds a master’s degree in “Asset Management and Appraisal” from the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russia Federation.

Ilya Mozgovoy

Fixed Income Instruments

Ilya Mozgovoy has a more than 15 years’ experience in managing large assets. Before joining Prime Mark, Ilya successfully managed assets in the context of bond strategies at Darstell Invest. Prior to that, Ilya was the head of fixed yield instruments at Alliance Rosno, managing assets of more than USD 400 million. Before that, Ilya held executive positions and managed multibillion investment portfolios at major Russian banks and industrial companies. Ilya graduated from the Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics at the Moscow State University (MSU) with a major in mathematical economic models. He holds many financial diplomas and certificates.

Denis Konev

Corporate Finance

Denis Konev has work experience in the real economy at the management level in economics and finance. Before joining Prime Mark, Denis was CFO at Russia’s largest wood processing plant where he organized the financing and structure of a long-term general upgrade to the production system and also successfully implemented anti-recessionary measures during the 2008 financial crisis. At his previous employer, EvrazFinance, Denis was involved in bootstrapping an industrial holding company with a return of USD 150 million. Denis was primarily responsible for valuing acquired assets and incorporating them into the company’s holdings; financing transactions; and functional inspection. During his career, Denis has participated in more than 20 acquisitions with a value of USD 200 million, for which the total debt financing exceeded USD 300 million. Denis graduated from the Financial Academy’s Department of Accounting, Analysis, and Audit.

Konstantin Kusch

Portfolio Manager

Konstantin Kusch successfully manages positions in Prime Mark’s international strategies, including “Golden Opportunities” and “New Market Stocks”. Before joining Prime Mark, Konstantin worked for Rye, Man & Gor Securities, managing IT and telecom shares. Konstantin started his career at East Capital’s trust management department. Konstantin completed his master studies at the Higher School of Economics with major in Stock Markets and Investments. Konstantin is currently a post-graduate student at HSE, studying the nature of bubbles in capital markets. Konstantin also participates in FRM.

Lenar Khafizov

Head of Research

Lenar Khafizov established and spearheaded Prime Mark’s analytics department. Lenar has successfully analysed Russian companies and their foreign counterparts for a long time. Before joining Prime Mark, Lenar worked for Rye, Man & Gor Securities as a research analyst in charge of the metallurgy and mechanical engineering fields and specializing in analysing small- and mid-cap companies. Prior to that, Lenar was a leading analyst at Alor Invest. Lenar started his professional career at Uralsib. Lenar graduated from MGIMO’s Department of International Economic Relations, majoring in International Credit Relations and the Stock Market. Lenar is taking part in CFA program and has a great number of professional financial certificates and diplomas.

Igor Sinyakin

Before joining Prime Mark, Igor Sinyakin deployed systems for internal accounting and risk control at Darstell Invest. Igor is well experienced in implementing online risk monitoring systems with advanced information technology. Igor graduated from the University of Communications and Informatics with major in Computer-Aided Management Systems. Igor takes part in CFA program and has a great number of professional financial certificates and diplomas.

Nikita Khlopotin

Head of Transaction Structuring

Before joining Prime Mark, Nikita Khlopotin worked for a long time in banking—first at Petrokommerts, then at Alfa-Bank. Nikita was mainly engaged in M&A, taking part in 25 transactions totalling USD 500 million. Nikita was responsible for the full legal support of holding companies. Nikita has work experience in the department of industrial regulating legislation within the Russian Federation’s Ministry of IT and Communications. Nikita graduated cum laude from the legal department at the Moscow Humanitarian-Economic Institute (MGEI) and completed his post-graduate studies there. Nikita is now working on his dissertation and teaches corporate law at the Institute.

Alexey Martynov

Head of Accounts and Operations Support

Alexey Martynov has worked in banking since 1992, occupying management positions for international accounts. Before joining Prime Mark, Alexey was head of the records department at Rossiya Bank where he was responsible for exports, imports, and trade financing. Previously, Alexey managed trade financing at Dresdner Bank and Menatep SPB. Alexey graduated from the Department of Finance and Credit at the Distance Learning Institute of Finance and Economics.
